    Simple Minds are billed as playing "Live at the Marquee" in Cork on 25th June next. Where exactly in Cork is this venue, and can anyone recommend a hotel that is close thereto? :D

    Its located in the showgrounds just off the Monaghan road. Very near to Parc Ui Chaoimh GAA grounds. You can walk from the city centre in around 20 mins.

    Jury's Inn on Andersons Quay would be the nearest hotel, its around a 10-15 minute walk.

    The Marquee is held in the showgrounds ,by walking its about 20min from the Clarion or the Jury's Inn both located on the quays also close by the Metrepole and the Imperial.All of the hotels are within 10 mins of each other(walking),
