Sinus issues

I seem to have had a Sinus infection for the past two months. Basically for many years I've had a bad nose, no sense of smell. The last couple of years it's gotten especially bad, constant post nasal drip, and since Christmas my nose has been almost completely blocked.

The only thing I've tries that works is a Sinus wash, but the effects last only a few minutes. Sometimes extra strong halls or a nice warm cup of coffee have a similar effect, but again not for long. The problem I have with a lot of nasal sprays is they dry things up, which is nasty.

I was at the doctor and I was prescribed antibiotics and a nasal spray which after a few weeks achieved absolutely nothing. I'm not sure what to do now. I'd like to try something else out before surgery(especially as it's infected at the moment). I've seen a few doctors about it and so far no help.

Currently I have a cold though and just got through 2 rolls of toilet paper. It's clearing up a bit after the sinus wash but I don't want to go to the doctor until that's cleared, since i know antibiotics will be useless.

I might just have to go on antibiotics again. I only had a weeks worth, that didn't seem right to me, I heard you need about 4-6 weeks of antibiotics to clear a Sinus infection so maybe it's not surprising it had no effect.
