"The new leader suffered a wasting disease and would not live to enter the new land."

What do we think? Is this The Battlestar Galactica?

"And the lords anointed a leader to guide the Caravan of the Heavens to their new homeland."

I think it may well be. Laura must feel silly if it is ay!!

This is a very intersting take on the situation.

Could the 'new leader' be a cylon base ship ?

I have mentioned this several times throughout other threads as well. Adama is often seen popping pills with no explanation. I think that there may be a health issue there as well.
Laura looks to be on her last leg as she hit the canvas pretty hard at the end f 4x17

I guess, if the Cylon baseship becomes the new harbour for humanities hopes, that'd be what they call "irony", well "coppery" at the very least.

And, even though the Baseship is in a bad state as well, we still have the other Cylons to contend with, hmm, will Galactica finally meet its maker in a final battle with the unrepentant Cylon backstards?

    Wikipedia's definition.
    Disease

This term broadly refers to any abnormal condition that impairs normal function. Commonly, this term is used to refer specifically to infectious diseases, which are clinically evident diseases that result from the presence of pathogenic microbial agents, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, multicellular parasites, and aberrant proteins known as prions. An infection that does not produce clinically evident impairment of normal functioning is not considered a disease. Non-infectious diseases are all other diseases, including most forms of cancer, heart disease, and genetic disease

    Its only a theory son.

Very interesting theory and one that looks more like happening.
Be a lot better than the Roslin crap anyway.

Roslin is the one character I wish died a long time ago. I just can't stand her whispering at people. Speak up slap head.

Only messin. But I did grow tired of her around the time she and Adama became close buddies when her cancer got serious again. I liked the days of her and Adama disagreeing. Now they can't do anything but agree.

That is such a ludicrous guess that it might just be right. HA. Good one.
Think I'll steal that and post it on another forum.

LMAO, I remember that comment now. A jokey remark has actually come true. I'm sorry mate. :o

I do however beg your forgiveness, and want you to know that I wasn't trying to steal the idea as my own but put forward a theory that I knew I heard somewhere in a few different places. :) After more episodes of Galactica dying slowly I grew to like the theory so much that I started a lovely shiney thread about it.

I have to keep track of what I say in jest because anything and everything will be used against me in a court of Boards. :o

I hereby want all credit of this theory to go to you if it comes true. And I definitely want all credit to go to you if its a pile of poo!!

Got the boxset and started watching there week. another thing about the prophecy was that the leader would see serpents of 2 and ten, the 12 vipers doing the flyover on the mini series.
