Reduce electric shower noise

The situation is that I live in a timber frame house, and there is an electric shower on the wall between my room and the bathroom.

My rrom and the walls seem to amplify the noise from the shower and I can nearly feel the vibrations from it.

Surely this is a common problem in homes like these. Is there any solutions to reduce the noise coming from the electric shower?
