We've all noticed the influx of new boardsies in the last few months (including my girlfriend, there goes personal issues as a resource) and while we're all a drop in the ocean in the likes of After Hours you are most definitely noticeable in a small forum like this.

I started this thread so that you could post a little about yourself here so we might get to know each other a little better. Nothing outrageously personal, just name, address, weight, etc.

But if that sounds sarcastic (and you'd be right) then just what subject and year you're in, etc.

I'm Rob, in final year music.

    Anyway, welcome to hell boards.

You need to be careful, LeixlipRed, there are certain forum members out to find you...

Exactly. One must be careful. Though Maynooth is so small it'd take about 20 seconds to track me down I'm sure.

    20 Seconds and google :D

Good idea for a thread banquo, aka. Rob.

I'm Keith, First Year Arts. Originally just joined while checking on the vibes in regards the election, but I think I'm gonna stick around.

    Michelle, 1st Arts, also.

    19.

    English, Geography and French.

I took Biotech for like 3 weeks last year but hated it and went back to repeat my exams to aim for Primary school teaching, alas, t'was not to be. And now I'm back! Loving Maynooth, hating the amount of reading for English!

I'm from Blanchardstown, I commute daily. Sometimes it's a pain but it's gotta be done.

    Boyfriend- Negative. Boy friends: Plenty!

Acceptable Personal things:I once did a poll dance in a strip club in Zagreb and lots of other things I can't talk about.

Affiliation with Maynooth:Did a degree in Maths physics in Maynooth last year.
Played with the rugby club and a year and a half with Barnhall, mostly U-20's.

Put in a lot of hard yards in Bradys.

Currently doing a HPC masters in Trinity.

I've definitely ''done'' Maynooth.I can't think of anything else left to do.
Thats about it really, unless I'm to write 10 pages on the things that happened in Maynooth.
I don't feel like I've ever actually gone to college....it's like some vague dream that might have happened.

I'm very boring these days though, the series Peep Show really scared the **** out of me.

Bored so I'll relent. I'm a tutor in Maths Dept. Done my undergrad here from 02 to 05. Brief spell in DCU to do my masters and I've pretty much bummed around here the rest of the time. The money is too good :) This year may or may not be my list year in Maynooth. Undecided about that...

We should do our own version of assassins. Actually, no. That's a terrible idea. Nobody do that.

As in the other guy who ran for ents?

    ¬_¬

    ...How you doin'? ;)

    Edit:

2nd Arts, drunken blonde girl who steals hats.
Likes to lapse into really bad Irish when drunk, quite crap this year and have barely been out on a Thursday.

Tends to put Roxette on repeat in SU and dance around with camp friend.

    Paul -> 22 -> 4th year egineering.

(I'll be you didn't know there was engineering in Maynooth.) We're a secluded bunch.

I knew it! No really, I was about to PM you to confirm my suspicions.

''The other guy who ran for Ents''? Bit harsh Rosabeez? :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,878 ✭✭✭Rozabeez

Didn't mean to be harsh! You would though.

This may not end well either...

Second year postgrad, fifth year overall. Came up in WIT before migrating to Maynooth in 04, two years off finishing my thesis, so i'll be around for a while.

19 years young, Palmerstown native, studying History (MH113) but they're subjecting me to Irish too for first year. Normally found craddling a bad pint in the S.U, giving out sh/te about the state of the place or sitting in sociology lectures getting a free education beyond my degree.
