    Hey,

Has anyone used myUS.com to shop online and ship to Ireland from sites that only accept US credit cards and addresses?

    Is it any good?

They say that they use DHL & FedEx, does anyone know if you are likely to be caught by customs using either of these?

    Cheers

I have never heard of myUS.com but to answer your second question if you use any courier for delivery from the US you will definitely be caught for customs and a handling charge from the courier.

    Hey,

Thanks for that. Conor Pope wrote an article about it a couple of weeks ago, apparently you can use them to shop online in US stores that will only ship to US addresses. You can have your items delivered to them and they will send it on to you (for a fee of course) and they also have a personal shopper service which will order items for you and then charge your Paypal account.

Seemed pretty good, but maybe not so much if customs and VAT have to paid too

I use a company called Bongo International, or http://www.BongoUS.com
Many items simply aren't worth it with the duties and taxes added, ElNino has a point. On ocassion though, electronics and toys can be found much cheaper in the states. And of course sometimes there's the must-have clothing item, handbag or pair of shoes. Bongo is perfect for getting those goods over express. cheers
