That route didn't last long, did it?

Only flown it once with CityJet and found it a very good service. picked up a bargain at the weekend, but it's a very expensive route during the week.

Really? Until recently I flew this route once or twice a month and always found BA cheaper and am very sorry to see them go. And BA allowed you to book one way tickets for the same price; with CityJet the price is usually double the return price, usually over €300 per leg...
Really can't figure what BA were doing though, the flights were always pretty empty, they just didn't advertise it properly. Why anybody would want to fly through Heathrow, or heaven forbid Luton/Stanstead , when you could swan through city for 10 quid more when you take into account trains etc I'll never understand.. Such a shame.

    Correct.
Risteard should be aware of that if he works for BA.
They announced the pulling of the Gatwick route a number of months ago.
In fact I started a thread on that here too if he cared to search for it :)
