Oracle forms and reports

    Hi

I have a lot of pl/sql experience but never really worked with forms and reports. I have downloaded the developer suite 10g and found a tutorial on forms which seems straight forward. But I went looking on amazon for some recent books on the subject and couldn't find anything.
When I looked on the oracle site I can't really find anything either so I am wondering if Oracle are replacing forms with the whole JSP/Oracle ADF stuff. Should I be focusing on this instead?

    Thanks

    Dave

There is still a lot of legacy forms/reports stuff out there. I support a few webforms applications for a number of our clients and they aren't going anywhere soon.

I haven't actually seen much on the ADF front, so I don't know an awful lot about it.

Also look at Application Express, I know some of our newer, smaller projects are being written on this platform. It seems pretty nifty.

    Thanks,

When you say webforms do you mean the
java applet forms that you create in forms builder? What I am wondering is if people are looking for "forms and reports" experience do they mean forms builder and reports builder from the developer suite or is there something else more current that I should be looking at.

Do you know of any good books or tutorials on the topic?

I'm not too well up on the development end, but it's basically a forms application that is initiated via a web browser, and a Java Applet fires up, displaying the forms application.

I would take it to mean the older forms/reports stuff. Then again, I am no developer, I just install and configure the application servers that run these forms and hook them up to a database. :)

Not off the top of my head, but I'll dig around the office here and see what I can find.
