    Hi,

I recently bought a used car and was waiting for the change of ownership into my name. The car is registered in Limerick but I am living in Dublin for a while. Anyone know if it is possible to tax the car for the first time in a Dublin tax office even though it is registered in Limerick?

    Thanks,
    Lar.

As far as I know you can tax the car anywhere in the country. I bought a Dublin reg'd car a while ago and brougt the forms to the Waterford tax office and there was no problem in doing that. Thereafter you can tax it online.
