GP Visit Card query

    Hi :)

I left my job recently (to be a stay at home Mum). I had no income at all last year due to unpaid maternity leave and parental leave and then resigned. At the moment I do have a small income, maternity benefit (yes, another child!!) that will run out in April and I will not have any income then.

Does maternity benefit qualify as "income" for the purposes of a GP Visit Card? I can't find a list of exempted incomes and there are exempted incomes for the medical card. Basically I am wondering if I should go ahead now and apply or wait until the MatBen runs out. To be fair, we would probably qualify for the card even with the MatBen but I just don't want the hassle of maybe being rejected and having to apply again a few months down the line.

I had two GP visits this week.......why can't children get sick at the same time:confused: Its hard enough to find that kind of money on a regular basis :(

TIA if anyone can help or has experienced this :)
