OP has a point, just look at all the threads currently on the first page, theres not much fun in them at all. They come under two categories- general moaning and topics started by the Young Daily Mailers already previously alluded to

AH needs a perk-up, I'm still up for the cause of an Armageddon(Recession) Sticky so all the doom and gloomers can feel free to post in their own little spot without the threat of some optimism creeping up on them.

Conversely the Daily Mailers must be loving the recession, sure if the rag isn't normally only 90c then its been given out free at train stations so junkies can have a clean arse. Such threads as above giving out about the unemployed, prisoners and foreigners have a Fianna Fail/PD stench off them; everyone is to blame as long as it deflects the blame from themselves.

Yeah someone started a thread saying we should come up with a name for the recession. The first reply was Stephen and it's stuck ever since.
