Getting my mothers new A4 delivered first thing in the morning and its going to be on what i think is a temporary reg from the audi garage so will be going straight to the vrt office to pay the vrt and vat, does anyone know what number im likely to get on a LH reg, does imported cars start at a certain number or will it just be next in line?

Oh ok, just iv noticed before cars that are imported in louth are usually 6000 odd, anyway of knowing what the numbers are at for louth at the minute?

cars imported to Louth over 6000 would have been imported in a different calender year to the reg plate. presuming 6000 would be where the regs for that year ended, all subsequent regs would be imports.

You could ring the VRO. Alternatively, any local garage could tell you (assuming they've sold a new car recently).

Stick a few 09 LH reg numbers in www.cartell.ie and it will give you an idea.
