Are you selling it? What colour is it?

I would be but putting 6-7k into it on a trade in anyways dependant on what I was selling and what the condition of the van was. Commercial market isn't the best, but there's always a market for a Golf, and there aren't many of the vans around.

What do you mean, worth when trading against a new car or what?

It could be something very hard to sell on in the current climate, van and light commercial sales are down much more than car sales this year, demand will be very very low for it compared to say a 3 door car version of the Golf. Not many apprentices or lads setting up business on their own doing the rounds now that would have bit your hand off for the car a year ago.

Ah.. Well you can buy a 07 for €11k retail on the net. What colour is it? How much is your M3 retailing at? And what year/colour is it?

Golf vans though werent really used for rough work though, and are generally used for cars. Some young fella will snap it up as the insurance is half the price of the car type.

Jaysus, very hiles miles on it. If you had the van costing you 5-6k you should be alright.

Chance him at €7k to change, be prepared to go to €6.5, but hold tough. It has high miles, but it's very cheap. You could make some of your money back through selling the Golf. Good luck with it!

At 24500 including a years tax it's still somewhat cheap. Although I'm still in two minds about the price/mileage on such a car.

Made him an offer and he's going to let me know tomorrow, was more than happy with the M3, if not its going to the uk next tuesday to the garage i bought it from to be sold...

Just going back to Limerick Man's price there. I think 7-8k is a bit high. I bought in a 06 1.9tdi 105bhp Golf van last week for €5500, and sold it for 7, and that was with a VAT invoice.

I think you'll be lucky to get 6 for it.

The Freelander was retailed too dont forget. That wasnt to the trade.

In just thinking, i think you'd be very lucky to get 6 on a trade in for it. As you said, the commercial market is dead at the minute.

Aye, I still think it would make 6-7k. Hence why I said in a later post have it costing 5-6k.
