That DLL is part of the My Websearch toolbar, which is malware (junk) Probably it's trying to startup but can't because that DLL is missing. Did you run any anti-spyware or AV scans recently?

Thanks for the prompt reply - Yeah I have Norton and I did do a scan a few weeks ago - can I just remove the 'My Web Search' thingy? Would that fix it?

It removed the app, but didn't remove the reference where it starts automatically. So the OS is told to start a program automatically, but it can't cos it's not there!

uninstall the app from control panel if possible. If not, the registry edit already suggested plus deleting the folder from c:\program files should sort it out.

Start>Run>msconfig, click on the "Startup" tab and uncheck the box near this item, then hit apply and reboot, should fix the problem, this way avoids you touching the registry, which may be easier and safer if you are unsure

Thanks, I have removed through the control panel and just deleted it like you said through c:\program files.

I'll get back to you all if this message pops up again when I reboot.

You will still get that message if you delete the program files folder, its actual meaning is that file is "missing" from the program files folder but the registry still has a startup option pointing to it :) The msconfig way or manual registry editing should fix it

Download ccleaner from the site below and run the registery cleaner section be sure to agree to make a back up. It will save a file in your documents folder called something like "ccxxxxxx" were the x`s are the date the file was created. To restore the registery to what it was before simply click on this file. I have used this in the past and it worked

PS there 3 versions 1/ standard 2/ portable 3/ no tool bar

i'd recommend running combofix to search for other malware.
