    is it possible for a person to hold the position of company chairman as welll as the position of company secretary simultaneously? and if so whats the procedure to be followed?

    It depends on the composition of the company. In general for large firms no, is the answer. If the Chair position is merely titular, in the sense that it is a trade association or something then it is conceivable that the Chair be a director, non-exec director and indeed Chair in title. There are various flavours of company which might lend themselves to that type of thing, but they'd be generally small, non-profit or limited by member guarantee. The company secretary would generally rotate at the AGM and be filed at the CRO as being changed accordingly.

    It is possible provided that the company's rules or constitution do not prohibit it. They are separate roles but it is possible that they be held by the same person. The individual in question would be appointed to each role in accordance with the company in question's rules.
