They are all on strike today which will be why you cannot get them on the phone.

Just got a letter through today myself that I can pick up my first payment tomorrow, but have now discovered that I don't have some card that is needed inorder to collect the actuall payments so need to go and get a temporary card for that first tomorrow assuming they are back open again. The letter I got seemed to suggest that the back dated payment would not be included in the first one, but it was just some standard form so no telling what it will actually consist of.

Yup same as meself there robin, thats what threw me off about the payments, I could really do with the money at this stage after 4 weeks of nothing.

Any payments will be backdated to first day of claim less anything claimed from the Community Welfare Officer.

Unless there are disallowances etc. which are personal, not general.
