    I would say have a look in this thread also as it started about Blackrock but diverged into some discussion on Wilton :

    Overall advice I would say is dont be too hung up on knowing the routes. By all means try and get to know the area and layout of the junctions, roundabouts etc but there is no need to know the exact route - it just add additional pressure in my view! If you can turn left and right correctly it doesnt matter which route you use (in theory anyway :))

    The routes in Wilton cover a wide area including Wilton, Summerstown, Togher, Ballyphehane etc. In summary :

    1. Out of the test center, turn left on Sarsfield Road, straight as far as the Wilton roundabout, turn left and then turn right up Wilton Ave for hill start. Drive though the housing estate and exit eventually onto the Curraheen road and turn right. Left down Hawkes road onto Bishopstown road and then next right into Woodbrooke - reverse is usually in here. Out of Woodbrooke and turn right on Bishopstown road and back to the test center.

    2. As number 1 above to the Wilton Roundabout but turn right and then immediately right again down into Summerstown. Junctions left and right and usual reverse in here. Generally head from there over to the Clashduv road (by Lidl) and around the housing estate between there and the Pouladuff road.

    3. Other option is out of the test center and turn right on Sarsfield road and then left at the top of the road onto Togher road. Again you end up down around Clashduv Rd, Vicars Rd etc and the housing estates around Earlswood estate.

    4. As per number 3 above but after passing over the South Ring road you turn immediate right (heading towards Togher Garda St). Then left at the small roundabout, through next set of lights and then right. You end up in Ballyphehane and coming back through Turners Cross.

    If you end up over in Togher there are 2 options back to the test center, one is back up Togher Road or the alternative is back on Pouladuff road and joining the South Ring. BE CAREFUL of the speed limit on the South Ring as you approach the Sarsfield Rd roundabout it goes from 100km/hr to 50km/hr.
