VRT calculator for a BMW

    Hi all,

    I have been looking at buying a BMW 3 series (nothing above 320) coupe (2000/01) up North but am finding the VRT calculator on the revenue website very hard to work. Any BMW that I found does not come up and only an error message appears. Anyone else had this problem? Very frustrating as these cars appear cheaper in the North. Someone told me that BMWs are different between South and North, any truth in that?

    Preferably I would like to keep my money in the South so if anyone knows of this car for around 6,500 let me know

    First off, don't restrict yourself to sub two-litre e46 coupe just because of the road tax. The running costs won't be that much cheaper, and the 6 cylinder models in petrol format are a big improvement over the 4 cyl ones.

    The 320ci with the 2.2 engine is very nice, but not sure what year it came out.

    You're probably just entering in an invalid combination for the car. Are you entering 3 door instead of 2 door by any chance? If you have a link to an advert then post it up here.
