Just had a look down through it and there's only a few threads that arn't really serious..

Was it a more lighthearted before the recession buzz kicked in?

Yeah it was full of "Your Ma" threads back then!!

That was when we all got along just fine, and then the media butted in! :p

I blame the "thanks" button. People are either trying to become keyboard warriors by gaining support for their views on serious topics or just making jokes on everything in order to increase their thanks stats.

It was the same.... only different....

I cant actually remember really. It was only this time last year that i really started posting anything, on any of the boards.

There havent been as many end of the world threads lately, the recession has taken that mantle over. There was a lot of hype about the hadron collider, i think that may have been later in the year however.

How about 4 years ago? A happier, carefree time where the most important questions of the day were:

    "The Best cappuccino in Dublin...?"
    "Im hungover"
    "Online Gambling anyone??"
"Who does the nicest breakfast? Burger King or McDonalds?"
    "Y - Fronts"

I'd like to say that a year ago people knew the difference between your and you're but sadly I don't think they did.

But way back in 2005 Pighead was still in first person mode.

    Well spotted there young Noopti.

Notice how my two points had a similar theme? That's the sort of thing that AH was famous for before Stephen came along.
