Catalytic Converter Xsara X 1.4 - 1999

    The exhaust on these cars just falls to bits after a while. I got one part of it replaced only a few months ago and now the catalytic converter section has snapped.

    I got quoted by my local mechanic €290 for the part and then probably an hour and a bit labour. Discount Tyres in Rosemount I think quoted me €280, that could be including fitting, not sure.

    So I jumped onto ebay to see what I could find:

    Am I looking at the correct part? How can they be quoting me so much if most of the ones on ebay are less than a hundred euro. Even with shipping of 50 quid it works out alot cheaper.

    I wish I knew stuff about cars!
