Pro V1's & Pro V1x's Group Buy

Just off the Phone to a friend of mine who works in Nevada Bobs.

They currently have an offer of ProV1's for £25 per 12. The only slight problem is the delivery costs. Its 10pounds for 1 box or its 10pounds for 12 boxes. So I was wondering if people were interested in a Group Buy.

    What is a Group Buy?
A group buy is where more that 2 people form a group and order a larger quantity of Items than a single person normally would, thus getting a discount.

How does a Group Buy work?
One person is set up as the group buy leader (Mr X). He posts full details of the Group Buy Available and the closing Date. People place their orders with Mr X, and send Mr X the money for them (Via PayPal/MoneyBookers/Cheque etc). At the closing date Mr X then orders all the gear and it is delivered to him. He then distributes it to each of them.

How can we Trust the Group Buy Leader?
The Group Buy Leader is usually a very well respected member of the forum, possibly a mod who looks after the details. The other way it can be done (although its unusual) is that the money is put in escroe until the goods are delivered. This however causes problems as one person has to come up with all the money themselves before getting the money from other people (might not be too bad if it was a group buy worth 100-200euro, but if it was for 1000-2000euro its a big difference).

If anyone has any other questions about Group Buy's please feel free to ask, I will do my absolute best to answer them. I will put myself forward as the Group Buy Leader here, however if people do not trust me (I only have ~200 posts) I will not be the slightest bit offended.

    Regards
    Ian

GUI academy is selling them for €35 per doz. - wonder would they give you better price if you were bulk buying? £25 = €28 - so that's €7 extra.....?

Got GUI academy newsletter yesterday and they have a competition to win 3 dozen ProVs - fingers crossed!!

Rang them up. They have 9 boxes left, I would be hopeful that we will get more than that.

I wouldn't be concerned much about the new version either, particularly at that price. I wonder how much of the 'new' prov1 is down to resolving the issues they had with patents?
