Going to head off to here soon, just wondering if anyone has stayed in the Radisson resort there and what is it like? Also is it easy to get to other parts of Egypt and would you recommend Ciaro or Luxor (can probably only do 1 at this stage)

I haven't stayed at the radisson, but as far as getting to Cairo or Luxor goes, it is either half a day on a coach each way or fly. There are regular overnight trips organised though so it is easy from that perspective.

    Hey,

We went to Sharm in March last year. Here's our trip report

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055266104

We went to both Cairo and Luxor, as well as Petra. I would recommend flying to these places. It's not that expensive and saves you loads of time.

If I had to pick between Cairo and Luxor, I'd pick Luxor to visit. Yes, Cairo has the Pyramids but Luxor has so much more.

    Enjoy!

I'm heading here with my brother on Wed :D

Looking forward to it, doing a late deal thing to get away from things back home for a week, we are 29 and 30

Does anyone have any tips on what to do? I know I want to do the following:

-Snorkelling (pref on a 1/2 or full day boat trip)

-Diving (i've dived (dove?) twice in Australia but don't have my PADI, how much and how easy would it be to do a 'try dive' where I can actually see stuff and the instructor will not just hold my hand 2meters underwater?

    - Quad Boking in the desert

-Trip to Mount Sinai - worth it?

-Hang out with Bedouins and smoke a shisha

    - Possibly a trip to Cairo
