Lads,

I have a catalogue of 82 pages on PDF file.
How can I save say pages 23-25 and 35-39 separate and send just them pages instead of the whole catalogue

Do you have a PDF editor? Or just Reader?
There are free editors out there, www.pdfill.com is one.

You could get a spool like:
PrimoPDF

Then print the pages you want.

How do i retrieve something i send " print to file" rather than sending to printer.
I've ran a search with the doc name and its still not coming up.

Ive have selected the pages i require

You'll have to go through command prompt. Printing to file is only used for printing a document, its not for rereading or interpreting. You can't open it, only print it.

Try PrimoPDF. Go through the steps you did, and where you select the printer select PrimoPDF. It'll create your pdfs then. Its simple!

stevire is suggesting pretty much what you're trying to do, but easier.

cutepdf is another tool that prints to pdf

Guys - he said he has a pdf file that he wants to split - not print to pdf. The one I linked is an open source application that will split a pdf file.

PDF Split and Merge is a very simple, easy to use, free, open source utility to split and merge pdf files

Sounds like exactly what's required.
