looking for an m16 with heat shield

I'm looking for something similar to this

I already have the 203 (RAS) and I can get the heat shield from ehobby seperately (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/gandp-m203-upper-handguard-for-m16-long-version-black.html) , so building onto an exisiting m16 is possible. but if its possible to get this locally, that would be my preferred option.

so the two questions are:
- anyone know of a supplier locally who has something similar?
or
- what would be the best platform to build on? G&G or TM?

you can get that G&P for about the same money as the G&G or TM., Doc got tony to get one in before. its a lovely piece of kit and its rock solid. keep in mind if you go for a TM it'll be plastic bodied and not as strong as the others,

you can normally find the g&p m203 heat shield I've seen it for about 30 -35 sterling in the uk, and agree if its between the tm and g&p i would do with the g&P far more solid platform to work with, especially if your looking to hang a 203 off the end

Will the M203 connect properly if it is designed to attach to a RAS and not directly to one of the heat sheilds?

Its worth checking because most M203's are designed to be attached to rails rather than at the body etc.

Thats the g&p m16a3 with launcher, looks different to a normal 203?

Yeah I have the G&P one. Its rock solid and I love it, with an 8.4v battery it has an awesome rate of fire.

I'm not exactly sure how the 203 goes about hanging off the heatshield

Dr.Pepper built one from scratch similar to mine so might be worth asking him.

But they are seriously awesome pieces of kit

The ras m203 is a made up airsoft yokey, the real m203 attaches directly to the barrel, or via a much longer rail mount to take grenade recoil.

The heat shield model is designed for the barrel mount m203, thats the grenade launcher you need, d-boys do a clone one now with both mounts.

There are 2 versions of the M203 Long
RIS and Hanger type.
I used the Hanger type with the heat sheild and CA M15.
