New NTL Box is Borked

    Hey folks,

    The new NTL box we have (less than a month old) appears to be fecked. The red light is constantly flashing and onscreen it says that the software is being upgraded. It has said that for the last 24 hours.

    I've been onto NTL support, plugged it out, checked all the connections and nothing, apparently they are going to check it out on the network tomorrow.

    Has anyone had this problem before, is there anything I can do to fix it?

    Same happend to me once, Box is mostly likely fine, the smart card has cancelled for some reason. For me it happend cause they gave me the wrong smart card, or have the wrong one on file...

    Happened to me once too, I rang them and they resolved it over the phone.

    Anyways, Chorus NTL customer service is probably your best bet on this one

    Ahhh I rang them and there was no joy, it seems an engineer is calling out on Monday. That means we'll have been without TV for 5 days, if I mention this to him/them do you think they'd knock that period off of the bill?
