I heard Lucia Evans, that girl who won You're A Star in 2006 is playing the Town Hall Theatre in Galway in March. I saw her some months back in a musical called 'The Hot Mikado' and she was amazing! What a voice.

She is playing two nights in March. Does anybody have any details for the town hall website in Galway or a phone number? Thanks

She sure did but I think all those shows are like this. I heard her on Galway Bay FM the last day with Jimmy Norman. He asked her about it and she apparently would not do cover versions and the record label tried to change the contract so she said no as she wanted to write material herself. I heard her sing on his show she can sing.

I went to see Lucia Evans in concert last night in the town hall theatre in Galway. She had a 9 piece band with her and she sounded amazing. The show was one of the best things I have seen ever! Her voice is unreal, the band were excellent, especially the drummer who is called Johnny Donnelly, the guy on guitar was also amazing. She got a standing ovation at the end but to be honest it was deserved along time before this! Well worth the €20!

I see that Sharon Condon one who was one of the finalists on last years your a star is part of that new girl band managed by Louise Walsh and one of the westlife lads.
Apparently they'v been signed to Universal UK.
They had a great big whopping lick arse interview with them on The Cafe the other night even though they still havnt released a song that the label has bought for them off a song writer.
Total kick in the bollox for all the musicians/bands out there who are doing their own thing and payed for it out of their own pockets.
