i really want to just get in shape and loose some weight and am a huge ufc fan so i think mma or some form of it would be good to learn, i just turned 27 but did some boxing few years back is this too old to learn anything ? anyone know any places to train beginers , thanx for anyhelp

You're certainly not too old to get stuck in and learn loads. I think the best way to get involved in MMA is by learning grappling but you can go straight for the MMA beginner classes too. Almost all the clubs cater for absolute beginners you can find some contact details for most here
