sky+ freezing

    when i put on any channel the program freezes after about 10-15 seconds
    anyone out there any ideas before i ring sky

    Check your planner to see how full your harddrive is, if its low on free space then delete whatever you have watched etc.

    Secondly access the secret menu by pressing the following

    Service
    Button no 4
    then 0, 1, then select in succession

    Now press button 7 for housekeeping, this will move the recordings around on the drive, it wont delete anything, when its finished it will shutdown into standby give it a min or two and it will switch back on..

    Thirdly press services and then button 5, switch the instant rewind time down or off fully, I usually set it to 5mins and then click save..

    Hopefully this should sort you out.

    i powered the box off and removed card etc and all seems to be working fine now but if the problem reoccurs i will give your advice a twirl
