I have just received an email stating that I am being audited for an element of a BER Assessment that I carried out. Anyone had this happen yet and does anyone know the possible implications if I have made an error?

I had 3 audits so far but i was lucky there were no errors so i dont know the answer to your question. I have always found them ok to deal with.

What kind of stuff do they focus on?

Obviouly they don't reinspect the house. Do they just verify your records are in good condition and that your calculations are correct based on the measurements that you have taken and that you have filled out DEAP correctly?

I have had some inconsistancy on the immersion as a secondary water heating system issue as I am sure have the majority of assessors. I wonder what they would make of that..

It depends on the type of Audit they do.
My first Audit was onsite. An Auditer met with me before an assessment and came with me to a dwelling where he observed me and asked some questions on the type of info i took from the survey. The same day it was pissing from the heavens and neither he nor i wanted to spend much time outside so most of the work was done from inside(i would usually measure most things from outside).

The second was a phone call on a property where they thought that i had made an error but it was proven that i had not and they were in fact wrong.

The third was a recent one where i did a 2001 dwelling which got a G rating. I have not heard back on this one yet but i am confident it was correct.
