The Ribble looks much prettier to me.

Though I do wish they'd fix their website to work in Firefox.

eta: I assume you mean the "Ribble Road Carbon Carbon Sportive Racing", as your link throws up errors for me.

yup for some reason the link to the road carbon sportive does that when pasted, and yes what a pain in the arse having to switch back to IE for their site!

Ribble for a grand with the option of a compact, great value.

Were you looking for a compact specifically? I'm half hijacking here I'm in the market for a low end carbon compact at the moment, for riding hills on sportives...not my forté, I'm only a fan of gravity once I get to the top. Would a 12-25 be fine to run with this btw or if the option of higher is there should I take it? I'd my heart set on the Planet X FSA compact but its £1400, the ribble centaur compact looks better value at £1000. Much difference switching from Shimano to Campagnolo?

I'd go for the ribble, looks way cooler. Plus, I have a ribble alu EM2 with campag centaur for a year now and I love it. Goes like a rocket. Didn't take much getting used to switching from Campy to Shimano...
