where is the row of forums gone?

when i log onto boards on my other PC, the list (row) of forums at the extreme top of the screen have dissappeared ! what do I need to get these back ( if they were ever there in the first place ) ???????

make sure java is enabled

yes was using IE 7 the changed to IE 8 - same problem in both - java is enabled
