If England manage to get their spoiling game going: Ireland by 10
If they don't: Ireland by 20

I cant see anything here but an Irish win tbh.

I think the question should be by how much. I can not even see where England will score a try from.

i reckon 20+ myself, but i see Paddy Power have the spread at +8
I am always amazed how close the bookies get to the real score.

    Ireland 32
    4 Tries, 3 Cons, 2 Pens

    England 9
3 Pens (2 off the post)

Do you think MJ will allow England to stand on the correct side of the red carpet ? :P

ps - There is no such thing as a good loss, It's just a loss

Ireland should have enough to win this but its by know means the easy task some make out the fact is if you switched the OH's in the England - Wales game England would have won IMO and now they have gotten rid of Andy Goode they actually have a decent back line with Sackey, Flutey, Cueto and Armitage its still nowhere near as impressive as Irelands but its definitely not a gimme of a game, personally i think England +8 is value but I wouldnt lower myself to place such a bet ;)

Countless times I have seen these sort of comments made by commentators, fans and in some cases even players and managers about their own team only for the 'anything here but' not to materialise. Egg on face time then! Rugby, especially 6-nations Rugby is a game where upsets - far bigger ones than an England win would be have happened numerous times. Anyway hopefully it will be an Irish win - be nice if we could win by a landslide but I'll take a win by 1 point.

Depending on how much England cheat and how much cheating they gaet away with. Irlenad to win by 10

Yeah a win by 1pt is still a win.

But come on lads, we are gonna murder them. They have absolutely no cutting edge.

The players and commentators can the the politically correct thing if they want, it'll be tough, never discount England etc etc

But I am flying my flag of arrogance English style.

We have a far superior team and if they want to clean our boots afterwards, they will have to ask nicely.

I can't see how they can win it tbh. The Welsh were ultra naive against them and England while showing a slight improvement just really fronted up. Stoic defence won't trouble us they need more and frankly they don't have it. They've no gameplan, few gamebreakers, no leadership and generally 1-15 Ireland a far superior side. I'm all for modesty to gaurd against complacency but in truth they're slightly better than the Italians and should be treated like that. Ireland by 18.

If we go out and perform like we can then we should have enough to win it by 5-8 points. England wont be push overs they could very well have beaten Wales 2 weeks ago and they'll want to get back to winning ways. Even though they had been playing quite negative picking Toby Flood makes it look like they're going to be trying a more expansive game. They have a solid pack and with guys like Armitage, Sackey and Cueto in the back three if they get chances they'll be dangerous.

But saying that i still go for an Ireland win.

Very positive out there. Not even opne person has gone for even a low english win.

I can't believe my option of English captain Borthwick's yelow card appeal convincing referee Craig Joubert that some teams are more equal than others. Therefore cutting out english yellow cards which would vastly improve their points difference. After all he is coached by martin Johnson who was a dab hand at influencing referees....:D

Have to say I would predict about a 16 point win for us. Can't seen the english doing much more than limiting the number of points we win by if they have a good day.

The Irish team seem well grounded and there's genuine competition for places which is healthy. I'd love to see the forwards give our backs the platform to attack ...if they do we'll rip england apart.
Maybe even beat the record breaking win at croke park!!!

Thats cause he cant say that they had better bring their doner cards.....

Besides our pack is far superior... Englands line out is shocking. Their entire game is shocking. As previously stated they have no leadership with flutey being the only real threat. And ill be at a loss if flood dosent start at 10. If o driscoll continues to improve the way he is at the mo he and the rest of the backs will tear england a new one. England could have the best team in the world and they would never beat us in croke park

I reckon Flood will make an impact. We'll see faster flowing rugby, but tbh can't see it penetrating the Irish defence as England haven't got that much creativity in their back line. Especially between the two centres!

Yes. His arse on the Croker turf when Ferris, Heaslip and Wally get their hands on him. :pac:

It would make my year to see Ireland smash the old enemy. They are seriously talking themselves up for this, but they have no chance. We are superior in every position, the one that stands out being O' Connell vs Borthwick (probably one of the Sarries players chucked out :D:D:D:D).

England think just because we're little Paddyland that we can be turned over. NO F**KING CHANCE. Toby Flood is S***E. James H"ass"kell is a pompous nancy boy. We'll show them who's boss.

Rugby is a cruel sport lads.....dont get too cocky they did manage to thrash us by 20 odd points last year.

I see Ireland winning it 22-13

    I agree tbh.

They're never that bad. They've been quite unlucky at times. And they still have some game winners.

I can't get over how confident everyone is! I'm really looking forward to this match and obviously hoping for an Irish win, but I have serious reservations...

How can people say England can't score tries? They have a good on-form fullback, two very good wingers and a really creative centre in Flutey (though I do think Tindel is rubbish). Ellis is playing really well and is a world-class SH - he's just been unlucky with injury these last few years. Flood isn't outstanding, but he's a solid option at 10 and he can work a backline better than that fat b*st*rd Andy Goode.

And the pack - I don't know why we're sure we're so superior. They've got a massive, destructive front row and while I don't really rate Borthwick, Kennedy's a great player. As for the backrow, I reckon we've definitely got an edge but Haskell & co can wreak havoc when they want to.

I'm pretty nervous about this lads! They're showing signs of real improvement and took Wales (arguably best NH team) very close in Cardiff... Let's take this match very seriously and not get ahead of ourselves!

They cant score their entire set up is a joke. Gifted against italy and one against wales. We outclass them in nearly every position. If it turns into a slug fest on sat we will win that too.

    Agree with you there

We are superior. They will go Borthwick 9 times out of 10 in the line out. Our Second rows and back rows will dominate. Heaslip and Wallace if they play on their current form will be a nightmare for the english.

 you mean most over rated right? The fact is they couldnt finish off a very dire english team.

I do think Wales are overrated by NH pundits, but they've still proved their credentials in the last few months. England were good in Cardiff - the fact that Wales beat them and never really looked like losing shows true class.

Ireland meanwhile has one impressive win against France under its belt - Let's not get carried away.

Unless we send the womens rugby team we'll win this one . Probably by two or three tries.

English rugby like the english economy is in a bad way with the strenght of the euro bringing haskell, palmer and flutey to France. It's only the start of a player exodus with england rugby the proverbial sinking ship.

On the pitch we outclass them in almost every position and they havn't been a force to reckon with in many years in the six nations.

Our arch nemisis has been france and we've dispatched them already. Roll on Wales for the six nations decider.!!!!

That has nothing to do with the upcoming match.

 they have one not so impressive win over the aussies and all of a sudden they are the bees knees?

    Can't say I agree

    A quote from martin johnson
''They also know their own value. The power of the euro, with salaries potentially doubled, is proving hard to resist.''

The english manager is worried about the exodus.
The english players will feel trapped as Martin Johnson sent out a veiled threat to England players eyeing a lucrative move to France that their international prospects would be less rosy if they were to follow the three Wasps players, James Haskell, Riki Flutey and Tom Palmer, across the Channel.

Players such as Geraghty, and even Wasps' Danny Cipriani may also move and this is something that will affect the mindset of the english team. Definitely a factor. It will affect team spirit.

Fair enough. But I doubt players, who are worried about their futures if they move abroad, will not try their best to play as well as they can to try and tilt the argument in their favour.

Agreed... I'm living in England so I reckon I'll lock myself in the room and watch alone... no cockyness from me lol cos surely we've all learned by now that pride comes before a fall.

In saying that, Ireland to win by 20+ :D

The first points will go to England but that I'd say will give us a kick up the ass and that will make us play to the standard we know we can. Probably be a scrappy game as emotions always fly high when we play England.

would love to see tries by O' Driscoll & Heaslip

Im sure Kearney will do a great job again. Lets just hope O' Gara starts well.

I've nipped over from Athletics to get England moving on the poll. Though I wouldn't put money on it :) I've a feeling that they'll bring their 'A' game and Ireland may underperform with the expectations of the home crowd on their shoulders.

Dont think so Drico said in an interview that team knows the whole croke park experience wont have the effect it had last time and they would have a foght on their hands

Yeah i'm not going the overly cocky route. I'm quitely confident we'll beat them, haven't any butterflies like I did before the Ireland France game, but I also don't see it being an absolute route. Would love to be proven wrong though.
