desktop widget SMS sender?

    currently in works talking to a mobile service provider [client] about developing a desktop widget to send SMS etc.

    Just wondering whether the company would have an API set or would i be able to just breakdown the online [on the server, webpage] service and make a similar script that the widget would read. Basically using their script i suppose but padding vars from my application.

    Thoughts/suggestions welcome.
