Web Site's & Apple Mac OS

    Hi,

Im currently involved in the development of a web site.
During our testing it has come to our attention that the site does not look great on an Apple Mac
with firefox. When we were developing the site we decided in the first our release to tailor
the site with the two most used browser's in mind (ie & firefox).

A developer has told me that the problem could be with the JavaScript that selects the CSS file
not returning anything because it doesn't recognise the OS (i.e. Mac OS X).

I was just wondering if this is a common issue, and do web developer's have to take different
OS's into account now when developing sites

Unless Firefox on the Mac renders very differentky to Firefox on the PC, then I think the CSS selection should probably be done by browser, rather than by OS.

Web designers should always take into account different browser types, but in a lot of cases that just means IE and Firefox. Safari tends to account for less than 5% of browsers on many sites (see this thread here), so is often ignored.
