The uk is set to anounce details of their bank asset protection scheme by the end of this week, hopefully this will bring stibility to uk financial markets, Are we likely to see a simmiler insurance of bad debt scheme being adopted in euro land or does the bad bank idea seem more likely, The eu would want to pull their finger out, Its reacting very slow to the banking crises, couldnt a meeting to discuss which policy to adopt could be ironed out before the proposed aprill meeting, eu seems to playing a watch and catchup game with the us.

Eu finaly pulled their finger out today and anounced that each member state can choose between a bad bank or insurance of bad debt scheme, hopefully when the gov here decide which option to take this should be seen as a possitive step for our banks with the markets.
