HELP- UPC 10MG & PS3 online gaming Setup?

    Guys ,
    Can any of you guys please advise (total novice) on the best results and settings , I have recently purchased a PS3 and my ISP is UPC , I dont think I am getting the best out of my current setup so if you have any advice please advise on the below .

    ISP : UPC - 10 MG
    Router : Scientific Atlanta Modem
    Wireless Modem : Netgrear (UPC SUPPLIED)

    I have been reading about NAT settings and other router settings and I am having a bit of trouble understanding , If you could advise some hardware and setting changes on the above please feel free and I will be extremly greatful.
