I'll drink anything, really. But nothing offers massive variety for small amounts of money the way beer does.

Bottles of Heineken for beer, not into wine. Spirits - Mainly whiskey, Crested 10 or Black bush in the pub, redbreast 12 yr old or something aged from Bushmills at home.

It's just beer for me. I found with wine and shorts, I was swallowing them back way too quickly so I stuck with beer and I'm the happier for it. Not at all into keg lager, in pubs I stick to Guinness or Beamish, with Macardles being drank if there. I'd often have pint bottles as well; aside from being more flavorsome, I find I'm less likely to gulp them down at last orders and less bloated and less hung the next day.

At home, it's a free for all; anything from ale to whatever is either on offer or tempting me. Regular brands for me would be Moosehead, James Boag, Sam Adams, London Pride, Moretti and the odd bottle of Sol. I'll pick and mix from the import shelfs on whim so today it could be anything! I almost never hit the big brands at home with the rare exception of imported Heineken or Beamish or Guinness Stout; draught only being bought if up North and I'm stuck for choice.

Away from alcohol, it's leaf tea, bottled water or milk; I don't take to soft drinks much.

Like a good quality golden rum with a drop of lemonde, esp Appletons but hard to get. Quite partial to cocktails too, Mojitos (but have to be made properly!) go down wayyyyyy to easy ( :
For beer the ole Heno or Nassua Astro (sp!) Corona or a nice chilled pint bottle of Budvar!

Beer - Ale, if the pub serves a decent one (not enough places, and Smithwicks doesn't count!). Otherwise Stout.

    Wine - Yes please, red.

Spirits: Jameson and ginger, or a good scotch with a bit of ice. Bombay Sapphire and tonic is also a kick ass drink.

    Beer > Corona or Guinness

Spirits > Absolut (no mixer) or Tanqueray

Wines > Take your pick, but a lot of Rioja or St. Emilion (red), or Alsace (white).

I'm going more for whisk(e)y these days than anything else. I'm having quite the wonderful love affair with single malt scotch at the moment, although I will always come back to Red Breast irish whiskey. I was introduced to The Balvenie Doublewood 12 year old in Edinburgh last November, and I'll be opening my 3rd bottle of the stuff next week. Nothing like sharing a bottle of the good stuff with similarly-minded friends :)

Funny how tastes differ - that's one malt that I've found I can't get to like. The bottle has been unfinished for a long time now. Keep going back to it but to no avail. Managed to get through a good bit over Christmas when I was sick - it makes a fine hot whisky with good honey and fresh ginger!!When I manage to empty it I'll be opening a bottle of Bowmore. I'll have no problem getting through that!!

At the minute Borossa reds and Spanish whites. My stout is Beamish.
