I just picked up a copy of Lost in Translation (one of my favourite films). Had to laugh when the blurb on the back of the box described it as
a laugh-out-loud portrayal of loneliness and human connection.

    Like wtf?

Anyone else got any good ones? (or, if not, can you make one up?)

    Snatch.

Totally misleading. Turns out its "an edgy and hilarious film about a diamond heist".

    Wtf?

"Harold Guppy moves into the Beasley household as a lodger. Before long, Mrs. Beasley falls for him and eventually ends up in his bed. Her 13 year old daughter Joyce is aware of what is happening and threatens to tell Mr. Beasley unless she is also allowed to share the bed with Harold and "Mum". "Mum" seems to think there is no harm in this, as long as Joyce doesn't take part in the physical activites..."

More a blurb, but weird as it was a free film with the Sunday Times...

I saw Lost In Translation. Didn't like it.

I thought the trailer for Stranger Than Fiction was very misleading. The trailer showed two or three funny incidents and seemed like a comedy but the movie was actually a fairly heavy drama - with two or three funny scenes.

I enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction though.

The A.I. trailer made out it was an action film about a war between robots and humans; it's actually a directionless pseudophilosophical drama about dull characters. One of which is a robot. (Not the cool kind of robot.)
