Accessing Netopia Router, WTF is this coding?

Hi lads. I can access my netopia router via telnet no problem, but when I put its IP into my browsers I get the below. Any suggestion on how to get the usual interface?

Try hard reseting the router (Hold a paper clip in the reset hole for 20 or so seconds until all lights flash) and see if it helps, looks to me as if the firmware could be corrupt or something, try reseting to see though

Had you tried a firmware upgrade and it failed? It honestly looks like the netopia settings pages arn't there... Try http://192.168.1.254/indexRES.htm?homeRES.htm btw, its the actual index page on my router, should be the same i guess...

Ok, maybe....I'm on V8.4R2. Manufacturers site tells me

Downloads Latest Firmware: 8.5.1 R4

I've downloaded it now, but I have to get permission before I install it

Will the router maintain all its configs? There's VPN set up and I'm dead if I kill it.

I'm honestly not sure, was just wondering if it was a firmware update which screwed it up...
