    Saw this on another website.. I could either buy expensive pocket wizard adapters or do this.. So I gave this a go and it worked like a charm. I dunno I said id post it as some people may find it interesting...

    These cost upwards of £100 on ebay?You say they aren't expensize?Or did i search the wrong things?

    Nice one, must look up a similar hack for the 580 exii.

    I'd mod the one above slightly to secure the jack cable from moving and straining the existing hotshoe connections.

    Have you got the same pocket wizards? Must check them out too.

    The adapters are expensive.. €60 for one.. I paid €50 to do two of my flashes..

    The flashes cost me like €200 each if I remember correctly...

    I was thinking about gluing the cable on the inside of the hotshoe.. but for the time being its pretty stuck in there..

    With the 580's you can actually add the jack to the inside of the flash so its a hell of alot better. The mod is the exact same as here with the wiring..

    If I have it right the photos show he's using pocket wizards for the radio link and the hack is just replacing the shop-bought 'pocket wizard to flash' connector, those adapter cables can be rediculously expensive alright.

    If you're not using a wireless link is the new jack cable a long lead going to your cameras pc jack?

    Its wireless I have 3 pocket wizards.. 1 on camera and 2 for the 2 flashes.
