    Hi Folks,

My apologies if this is in the wrong forum. My missus is Polish and interested in becoming a teacher. Where can she contact to see if her degree is recognised in Ireland, thus allowing her to do the H-Dip.

In terms of general recognition for any non-Irish degree, this is probably the best place to start.

Re: specific recognition as a teaching degree, it may be worth having a look at the Teachers Council website, maybe starting here.

Remember that not even all Irish degrees are recognised as suitable for teaching, depending on discipline / subject, though obviously many are.

It might also be worth having a root round the Teaching forum to see has this come up before, or maybe posting a question there ...

You can go directly to the Teaching Council, they will assess overseas degrees for secondary teaching.
