    Hey hope this is the right place! I'm just wondering how much do I pay at the NCT center? Prob a Q that loads of people know the answer to! I can't seem to find it on their website. Thanks a mill! :D

    9. How much does the test cost and what are the payment methods?
    The car test fee is €50.00 and a re-test costs €28.00 (both fees are inclusive of VAT and maybe subject to change). Re-tests, which do not require the use of test equipment, will be free. Free re-tests cover minor items, for example, a visual inspection to check that faulty windscreen wipers have been replaced. NCTS will accept cash, personal cheque with bankers card, all major credit cards and laser cards.

    My car had its NCT on Sunday and it cost 50 euro.

    I know im biased, coz I work there. But for me, that price increase was really a gift from the gods. I don't have to go to the bank thre times a week anymore, and get bags of 1 Euro coins as change.

    BTW, they introduced a new cheque acceptance policy as well a couple of weeks ago. NCT centers will now only accept personal cheques, if you a have a cheque card for it.

    They still take business cheques without a cheque card, not really sure, if there actually is a cheque card for business cheques
