Who may witness a deed poll?

Who is allowed to witness a deed poll? I take it a spouse cannot be used?

I was also told that a solicitor can't do it as he can't witness his own affidavit.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are a solicitor - which it would seem to be the case by the way the above is written, then this thread is a complete nonsense.

    Go and get some advice.
