Already a contender for album of the year in my opinion, it's called 'It's Blitz!' and the lead single 'Zero' has classic written all over it.Highly recommended

Nice one, forgotten about this band but loved their first and second album. Must have a look on iTunes

That single Zero really is incredible :)

Just got the album there but have only listened to Zero so far, ****ing amazing. They are really starting to sound like Atomic era Blondie which would be great

It's absolutely amazing, am loving 'Heads will Roll'.

Listened to all but 2 tracks yesterday through hypem.com and love it. They are a great band for not staying the same yet still keeping that great Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound.

Wow I really like it!! :D

After listening to it all last night, i have one concern. That there is a serious lack of guitar on the album, there seems to be a lot of emphasis on bass and electro rythems but the thing is being a 3 piece without a bassist how the hell are they gonna pull it off live.

According to Wikipedia, they hired a second guitarist for their tour in 2006 so will probably do the same for this tour.

Only on the second track of the album but loving what Ive heard so far

I think it's a pretty strong album with maybe only one mediocre song. Skeletons is a very beautiful song.

I don't like the album that much, well some of it

xOxSinéadxOx what is it you don't like about it?

i must accquire this, have heard the single and didn't think much but i prefer judging albums on albums and not their singles :)

The single sounds great. I had a listen to Heads Will Roll too and liked it. I'll have to get the album now.

Got the album at the weekend and am really enjoying it. Could be special. Will take a few more listens but I like what I hear so far

Also, I've dusted off Fever to Tell and Show Your Bones and will be gorging myself on YYYs for the rest of the week

loving it so far, an improvement on the last album... which is no mean feat!

Ive listen to it a few times now, its pretty good. It is a bit weak on guitars alright, but the basic almost eighties beats is refreshing. Also Skelatons is a cool song.

Gotta agree, its not very guitar heavy but its still a great album!

It has a fair amount to live up to and I really dont want to get my hopes up.

If I have low expectations then I cant be disappointed(waiting to buy it on my new lappy)

    fingers crossed**

Not mad on it at all I have to say. Not a patch on Fever to Tell or Show your Bones....
Zero is very overrated on this thread! I can see it being the most overplayed song this year though! Heads will Roll, Skeletons, Hysteria and Dull Life are great songs, the rest I am decidedly indifferent to with the exception of Dragon Queen which sounds like awful CSS.

Not their best, but an ok album, with a few good songs...

I don't even think I'm being harsh witht hat review!

Snapped up for playing some piece of **** here in july which obviously rules out a solo date in Dublin sometime this year. ME = angry

Personally I love it, would have been dissapointed if they kept to the same formula for this album...nice that they shook it up a bit:)

This has been getting great reviews, cant wait to hear the album in full. It's meant to be a bit of a departure for them more synths less guitar.

Much much better album than bones. A real grower and so far the single Zero is well deserving all the praise it's getting.

one of my fave bands that ive yet to see. zero is a great track. excited for the album now :)

Hmmm...not a huge fan of it, tbh. I loved the Fever to Tell and especially the early stuff like Is Is and Machine. This sounds like subpar CSS though.

ok after listening more, I like it better than I said early but it still isn't really my thing. fever to tell is their best

Heads will Roll is brillant and Hysteric is absolutely gorgeous

I thought Heads Will Roll was awful the first time I heard it.

Second time I found my toes tapping despite myself.

Third time I thought ... holy #%$£ this is brilliant!

I've been listening to this for the last few days and it is superb. Every song gets better with each listen. Heads will Roll and Dull Life are the standouts for me, with the latter being a contender for song of the year so far. I can't help dancing along.

Also, you gotta love when the theramin kicks in on Runaway. Another super tune.
