Re-suturing Lacrimol Glands?

Had an op four weeks ago and now wish I hadn`t. :(
The lacrimol gland in my right eye has prolapsed and the one in my left had started to prolapse so both were re-sutured. The swelling afterwards was horrendous but now four weeks post-op thankfully most of it has gone. I can live with the scars on my eyelids. Unfortunatly, one of my eyes now had a crease above it that was never there before making them look asymmetrical. It also feels stiff and sore when I move my eyes ina certain direction like looking up. The doctors in the hospital gave me text book answers about "waiting for the swelling to go down" but Im unhappy with the fact that one of my eyes now looks different from the other and I cant imagine why this has happened. I dont feel Im being taken seriously but this has seriously impacted my self-image as I cannot feel confident about my appearance anymore. Cant find ANY info about what to expect on the net and doctors dont seem to get what Im taling about.
Has anyone else had this op or can anyone PM me with any information as to what to expect?
    Ruth

Never even heard of the operation
Actually giving me the shivers thinking about it
Dont mind blood, guts, bad fractures but have a soft spot for eye problems
    Wish you all the best
