Taking place the weekend 13th, 14th and 15th of March, the silent film festival at Killruddery House is the first event of its kind to take place in Ireland. With upwards of twenty film screenings taking place over its three days and guests including filmmaker and historian Kevin Brownlow as well as musicians Stephen Horne and Joss Johnston. Featuring a diverse selection of unmissable films from the silent period as well as various talks and an archive programme curated by the Irish Film Institute's Sunniva O Flynn.

Programme can be downloaded in full at http://killrudderyarts.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/killruddery-silent-film-festival.pdf

Seen two of those - Flesh and the Devil, and Sunrise. Great movies.

I'd love to see Sunrise on the big screen but €25 is extortionate. Interesting line up for the rest of the festival too, shame it's beyond my budget.

25 euro is a disgrace to watch a film.
