If my back boiler is not visable, what do I put it in as on the DEAP software? I know the approximate age but I don't know the make and I cant see the brand on it. I looked through the deap listing, do I have to assume the worst brand?

The short answer is that if its your backboiler, you shouldnt be putting it into DEAP.

If it isnt for an uploadable rating, then it doesnt matter what model it is, just use table 4a from the User Guide.

Entertain me, I'm messing about with the software, not doing an actual survey.

    Yep.
    Most of them are.

Many of the "good" ones are still crap because of evil builders.

it's sad but true...we are all living in square/rectangular caves with windows...stone walls, a bit of glass and a very inefficient heating system.

Compared with other countries like sweden, finland and germany...we are technically still in the stone age as far as insulation goes!

i mean stone age as in all our houses are built from stone whereas most houses in germany, sweden and finland are timber frame with a hell of a lot of insulation.
