Okay...... so sorry to tell you this isn't a recession spin, I am fully engaged in work :), but everyone is invited to join me on a spin on Wednesday afternoon. I plan to do another assualt of the Sally Gap and a few more miles around wicklow. Dundrum --> Glen Cullen -->Sally Gap --> Laragh --> Enniskerry --> Dundrum.

I generally don't stop but could certainly be persuaded by the offer of a free coffee and cake.

I plan on leaving Dundrum at 1:30, actrually leaving IFSC at 1:10, and getting back to Dundrum by 6. I plan about 104kms of pure fun.

    Scott

Okay -- someone must be convinced. If you need help telling your boss your off for a rideput it like this. Hey {Name} I have some great news. Today I have decided not to surf boards all morning and work instead. This will save me 3 hours before 1pm. I'm also not surfing after onw so It will save me another 3 hours. Based on this increased productivity, instead of me working 2 hours in total for the day I am going to work till 1 solid.... thats 4 hours. Since I have doubled my productivity I'll be leaving at 1pm. Its up to you I am happy to surf and waste the day but I'll asumme you have made the correct choice.

I'll take it as accepted unless you take the time to come back to me.

I could head as far as Glencullen (or indeed Enniskerry) with you but would have to be leaving Sandyford by 1 at the latest.

Sorry -- I can't leave the IFSC by one.... I go every week Wednesday so if your ever up for a good long ride I would be honoured to ride in your company.

    yikes!

I would go, but I think a midday-midweek 100km will tire me out. See you sat.

Hi Scott, I think I may have passed you this afternoon , between the Sally Gap and Enniskerry, one guy in a boards jersey and a girl. I headed down the coast road to ashford, up to roundwood and over the gap, it was bloody windy up there but still a nice day.......and yes mine was a recession spin!!

Ah nuts. I did a similar, slightly shorter route, (slightly slower too, probably) about an hour ahead of you. If I'd have checked here, I could have met you at Dundrum/Sandyford. It was bloody windy up there.

Very windy - I decided to cut my ride short and turn left at Sally Gap and ride the wind home to Portmarnock. Lovely day though.

Okay -- I saw them too..... I was a fat guy with a white bike and a white or red top fighting my way into the wind.

Tough wind alright, but a good workout!!....cos the sally gap just doesn't provide a challenge by itself anymore!:P
