Sorry if this was asked before, I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer.
Can any LNB be used with any dish? I have a Sky dish which is slowly disintegrating, it is fitted with a quad LNB which I would like to keep. I also have a dish which came with a Philex kit. Can I just swap them over? The Sky dish I'd say is about 60cm. diameter while the Philex is larger.

The main issue will be the physical connection of the LNB to the dish. Sky dishes can have a square shaped bar that the lnb bracket is pushed into. Some brackets are seperate from the LNB, so you interswap. I'd advise to look closely at how to mounts do answer your question.

Forgive my bluntness but thats nonsense. Sky lnb's and other standard 40mm collar lnb's cannot be swapped without loss of performance.(the feedhorns are not the same) OP the lnb from the philex cannot be used on the sky minidish or vice versa. You need a quad lnb with 40mm collar like a titanium or mti /similar.
