Black Diamond CRT tv problem

Wasnt sure what forum to put this in...

Have a big old Black Diamond CRT television. The power button at the front broke a long time ago and the only way to turn it on is with the remote. Well the remote just died on me and now I cant get the television on.

I have an old OneForALL remote (URC-6010) which Ive tried to get working with the tv, but it doesnt seem to be functioning. Whether you have to have the television on before you try and tune in the new remote, I dont know.

There is a flap at the front with channel up/down, volume up/down and menu buttons but, frustratingly, none of these will turn the tv from stand by to power on.

Any ideas ? Id much rather not the throw the thing out as its pretty big and is handy for the bedroom.

should'nt be too hard to find another remote to suit, if you scour the web you should get one.....ebay etc

I'd try www.donberg.ie if anybody will be able to source a replacement for you they should.

Have used them plenty of times in the past and found them very good.

Have model number etc at hand when you call them.

    Best of luck.
